Revcord Successfully Tested NG9-1-1 Recording Elements at the Second NENA Industry
Posted on Jun 02,2010

Revcord, a premier voice and multimedia recording company, today announced today that it again successfully tested its Digital Voice Logging Recorder in the second phase of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) NENA sponsored ICE2 tests at the AT&T Training Facility in Irving, Texas during the week of May 24, 2010.

Charles "Trey" Schwarz, Revcord's President, said "Full compliance and compatibility to all i3 and other NG9-1-1 requirements are among our highest priorities. It is our continuing goal to produce the most "user friendly" and least expensive NG9-1-1 multimedia recorder in the industry".

Some twenty companies, including major telephony, GIS mapping, and other PSAP element providers, from around the world participated in bilateral and individual testing scenarios for the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) based Next Generation Emergency services IP network (ESInet) infrastructure as it pertains to their company's products and services.

Revcord Will Be One the First Vendors to have NG9-1-1 for Launch
Posted on Apr 15,2010

Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) is certainly one of the most misunderstood technical concepts in public safety. It is identified as anything from “it’s just VoIP” to a horribly confusing thing for which there are not even any standards. In reality, neither is true. Unfortunately most technical writings seem arcane and beyond reach because of the very unique acronyms. So, one of my “free time” projects is to write a NG9-1-1 Primer someday soon. Every once in a great while I find an article that is clear, concise and understandable. The attached article is from the most recent NENA Magazine and should be read by all of us in my opinion.

As you know, Revcord is at the forefront of NG9-1-1. We successfully tested our IP solution in the NENA ICE1 interoperability event last November. Currently we are an active part of NENA’s ICE2 NG9-1-1 testing program. Although the nation’s PSAPs aren’t ready to respond to SMS text messages or video yet. NG9-1-1 will make that a reality in the fairly near future.

Importantly, Revcord will be among the few vendors who will be fully capable of NG9-1-1 integration when it’s ready for prime time.

Revcord Successfully Completes NG9-1-1 Voice Logger Recording Testing at NENA ICE-1 Interoperability Event at Texas A & M University

January 26, 2010 Houston, Texas – Revcord successfully completed NG9-1-1 VoIP digital recording testing at the National Emergency Number Association Industry Collaboration Event (ICE 1) in November. Texas A & M University hosted the ICE 1 week long NG9-1-1 event where Revcord and 15 other vendors from New Zealand, Canada and the United States tested interoperability in simple and complex emergency call scenarios. More than 50 peer-to-peer interface tests were performed by the 26 engineers in attendance.

Revcord’s president, Charles “Trey” Schwarz, said: “Revcord is committed to providing a multimedia (voice, video, text etc.) recorder that is fully compliant to the NG9-1-1 standards, including those not yet published. The NENA ICE 1 interoperability test was a great experience for us and we will certainly continue to work with NENA as the technology continues to develop.”

Free Screen Capture/Screen Recording from Revcord Synchronously Replay Voice Recordings with CAD, GIS or Other Screens
Posted on Feb 08,2010

February 5, 2010 Houston, Texas – Free? Well, actually it is. Revcord (www.revcord.com), in its continuing policy of selling a full featured voice recorder without extra cost options, today announced that software version 7 now includes Screen Capture – Screen Recording.

Revcord’s screen recording enable’s an agent’s or call taker’s computer screen (e.g. CAD, GIS) to be recorded synchronized with voice and then transfers the file and updates the database on the server. The screen recording capture works in either of two modes on the Revcord voice logger: Client Mode and Server Mode. In the Client Mode the recording works with a Record on Demand (ROD) trigger. In this mode the user will have the ability to enable or disable screen capture. In the Server Mode the screen recording works with any recording trigger however the Server Stealth Mode overrides the ROD and continuously records the screen. Playback is simple, performed on the search screen allowing voice or voice and screen playback.

Posted on Dec 01,2008

12-01-08: Revcord will begin shipping version 5.0 software. This software has two primary feature adds at no additional charge. The first is Evaluation and Scoring. This is a fully integrated Evaluation and Scoring software module. As with all Revcord software, it is easy to use and fully scalable. The second feature add is Record on Demand (ROD). ROD enables any channel (telephone) in the REVCORD system to be recorded only when needed by the user/agent. This is achieved by running a simple Windows based client application running on the agent’s PC to control the recording of any authorized channel (start and stop ) when needed. ROD also enables agents to associate custom information like CallerName, Description, Address,Number, etc for the calls being recorded.
