In early 2008, Trey Schwarz, one of the founders of DigiOp Technologies decided to "spin out" the DigiOp Voice Logging product line into a separate company under the name of REVCORD with headquarters in Houston, Texas. The following is a brief history of the product line and the reasoning behind the decision to create REVCORD as a separate entity focused totally upon voice logging technology and opportunities.
The web-based software of the REVCORD Voice Logging System was acquired under the direction of Trey Schwarz by DigiOp Technologies in 2003 as part of a much larger package of intellectual property. The originating company previously had sold several thousand systems in Europe and Asia and the core software was already well tested and very stable. Under the DigiOp brand name we developed features and functionality tailored to markets in North America and our initial sales focus was upon smaller and medium sized Public Safety opportunities.
Since 2003 we have installed a number of larger enterpirse systems ranging up to over 300 channels.  We have seen an appeal in channels from the 8 to 300 range where customers are really concerned with gaining the best value within their limited budgets. In addition to 911 centers, police and fire departments and regional airports, we have made rapid inroads into Campus Security. To name a few of our more notable installations we'd include Vanderbilt and the Universities of Mississippi, Tulsa, Ohio and El Paso Community College.
Today we have what we consider a premium network of Dealers specializing in Public Service and offering the type of rapid response this market demands. Each of these Dealers is well known within the Public Safety community and each has a reputation for standing behind the products they represent. The fact these Master Dealers have elected to add the REVCORD System to the products they offer is something of an endorsement in its own right and we're proud to be associated with them.
Although our initial focus was on Public Safety we also have developed a meaningful presence in many commercial markets. Installations include brokerage and trading firms, banking and financial institutions, and a wide range of general businesses. Perhaps our most notable commercial installation is with Delta Airlines recording communications between pilots from the cockpit and Delta's operations in Atlanta.
We have not, however, even begun to tap into the commercial opportunities envisioned when REVCORD was "spun out" of DigiOp Technologies. REVCORD's management believes there is a tremendous opportunity to bring the benefits of voice logging to smaller and medium sized business at prices they can easily afford and justify – and in simple terms that is our overriding Mission Statement. REVCORD was "spun out" specifically to provide the attention and resources required to accomplish that Mission Statement.
One of REVCORD's first steps in this direction was the development of an Authorized Dealers organization capable of commercial installations with after-the-sale presence. We have recently joined forces with a distribution group with over 2,500 dealers – and each of these dealers has in depth telecommunications experience. For many smaller and medium sized companies across North America this will be the first time they will actually be able to find someone locally to sell, install and support.
